Improve business agility by tracking your assets

An inefficient supply chain, coupled with difficulties accurately tracking your goods and assets, can compromise your ability to remain competitive. That’s why you need to be able to make instant yet informed business decisions, based on accurate and timely intelligent data. We can help you view your business operations in realtime, enabling you to control your inventory more effectively and improve your business agility.

Home in on your assets

Through auto-identification technologies, such as radio frequency identification (RFID), BT Asset Management enables realtime communication with your goods and mobile assets. Our data platform translates RFID signals into information about the current location of assets, as well as their contents, condition, and even temperature. With a more detailed view of your business you can then reduce supply chain error and free trapped inventory.

This enables more effective use of manpower and faster, more accurate data gathering. By generating and collating automated audit trails, compliance with business accountability legislation can be achieved more easily.

BT can help you remove much of the complexity of managing high levels of RFID data. With our end-to-end managed service, you can expect market-leading technology as well as continuing maintenance and 24/7 helpdesk services.

Increasing data accuracy improves business control

For Marks and Spencer, making sure the right product is available at the right time is vital. Due to the collaboration between M&S and Auto-ID, M&S have RFID tagged more than 100 million items of clothing. The trial was extended from 6 clothing ranges to 11 in 120 stores nationwide. From an initial 15 suppliers in 20 countries tagging clothing at source M&S now tag clothing from 100 suppliers in 32 countries. This has improved stock availability and customer service.

At BT, use of RFID to manage mobile assets and stock has enabled us to reduce equipment and product losses, improve internal processes, and cut unnecessary stock-holding.

Contact your BT Account Manager to find out how you can accurately track your assets with live business control.
